Packing Smart For The Holidays

When the utter excitement escalates for the sand between the toes, slight sun burns and the sea wake, it is only fair that the suitcase overpacks itself without your deliberate intention. Who haven’t made a list and harmed the weight allowance nevertheless (raise your hand)? Below are some tips that can guide you into essential must-brings and be of use depending on your holiday (no promises though).

Family Trip

Well time spent with family and friends by the beach always leads to the most cherished memories, even if they are layered with drama. Activities usually take place from wake boarding to unexpected hikes and sightseeing. For the beach pack up a one piece saviour, better a neutral colour (our Dione model fits best) in which you can do wonders and feel comfortable. Go for a dress that can go from day to night (Parisienne all the way), flats and zero dress up (its family duh). Save space with shampoos, spf and creams by raiding others (there is a reason you have siblings).

Romantic Getaway

Whether you are planning on going to an exotic escape by yourself or with a passionate partner, you will need minimum clothes and maximum adventure spirit. Opt for a catchy bikini and no tan lines (choose Aine in red), femme empowered read and a mysterious cat eye (sunglasses or eye liner, your call). Fill your make up bag with a range of lipsticks, SPF and moisturisers. Throw in some sheer dresses and jumpsuits - a perfect fit for any occasion.

Girls Girls Girls

If it was not for all-ladies trips, none of us would have the beautiful profile pictures that we do, just admit. Polaroid camera is a must, and so is a daring cut bikini in blazing white (Nanshe is the one, you are welcome). Packing for a girls- only holiday is the most challenging of them all, but let it not phase you. Share must-haves (spf and body sprays) and maybe even outfits. Go for loose fit tops (bring a range) and one pair of match-them-all bottoms (hello culottes). Space for heels and a party dress is not negotiable. Pink quartz embedded ‘boho’ jewellery to encourage femme power is always a good idea.
